You just replace the fragile clear fader carriers that come with the MK2 with the brown fader carriers that are in your 56S. When introduced in 2006 the TTM57SL broke ground as the first ever DJ mixer with built-in USB sound card and tightly integrated Serato software controls. Luckily, you can use the faders from your 56S in a 57MK2. Now you can control Scratch Live from your mixer without. You would probably be disappointed with 57MK2 faders compared to your 56S. The TTM 57SL Performance Mixer integrates Serato Scratch Live with the best of Ranes hardware. The OG 57 is a tank though, and has a very similar feel to your 56S. The stock faders that come in the 57 MK2 are a bit fragile. If you can find a 57 in good shape for $300 or less, I would say to get it. You can still use the 57 with Serato Scratch Live on newer operating systems, but you have to do nerd stuff to make it work (disable csrutil). For CD decks, I personally like the Pioneer CDJ-800's because they do the job for one half the price of the CDJ-2000's. There's also a lot that you can do on the 57 MK2 that you can't on the 57.
